MyDigitalSchool

How MyDigitalSchool deployed the Rising Up Soft Skills Challenge for 2,000 students across 18 campuses to strengthen their confidence and employability.

What was the challenge of MyDigitalSchool?

With more than 15 campuses in France and nearly 2,000 students, IPAC Bachelor Factory had to take on a challenge: How to prepare your promotions for a job market where soft skills count as much as technical know-how?

Recruiters are increasingly emphasizing skills such as:
* communication,
* the ability to collaborate,
* adaptability,
* creativity and stress management.

But these skills are difficult to measure and even more so to value in a resume or in an interview. The school was looking for a solution for motivate its students, strengthen their confidence and help them talk about their human skills in a credible way.
It is in this context that the national challenge Talent Game Employability has been organized, and Rising Up was chosen to support students via the Soft Skills Scan.

Why did you choose Rising Up?

We chose Rising Up for three main reasons:

  • Solid scientific expertise : the Soft Skills Scan is based on 5 years of research in neuroscience and artificial intelligence.
  • A unique and clear frame of reference : 25 behavioral competencies structured in families, directly linked to labor market expectations.
  • An engaging digital solution : the THE LAB platform is easy to access, customizable and perfectly adapted to large-scale implementation.
How did the implementation go?

The collaboration started with a communication phase with our students and teaching teams, in order to arouse their interest.

Each student then has:

  • easily accessed the online platform,
  • Passed the Soft Skills Scan in about an hour,
  • Received a detailed and personalized report allowing him to identify his strengths and areas of progress.

For our part, the teaching teams were able to follow Real-time participation and results, with clear dashboards that can be used by campus and by promotion.

What were the expectations of the students?

Above all, our students wanted to:

  • Understand what is covered by Soft Skills,
  • have a Objective feedback on their skills,
  • get concrete advice for promote their results to recruiters,
  • use this tool as a differentiating lever to apply for an internship or for a first job.
What did you learn from the Soft Skills Scan?

The test made it possible to draw up a clear photography of behavioral competencies of our promotions:

  • Some strengths have been confirmed, such as creativity or autonomy.
  • Common shortcomings have emerged, especially in time management and interpersonal communication.
  • We were able to identify gaps between the professional ambitions expressed by our students and certain skills that were still fragile.

These results allowed us to adapt our educational actions and to better target strategic soft skills to be strengthened.

What are the benefits for the school?

For IPAC Bachelor Factory, the contributions are multiple:

  • A strong mobilization : several thousand students participated quickly.
  • Concrete data : collective and individual maps that can be used by our teachers.
  • A competitive advantage : to be able to say that our students are passing a scientific evaluation of soft skills is a strong argument for recruiters and families.
  • An image of innovation : the approach reinforces the attractiveness of the school and its positioning in terms of employability.
What concrete results?
  • More than 2,000 students evaluated in a single campaign.
  • Of individual reports that can be used immediately to apply.
  • One collective vision of soft skills by campus and by promotion.
  • One better preparation for professional integration.
