“Emotions have long been an underexploited field of research. Recent years have seen a great leap in research, especially thanks to neuroimaging. We were able to observe brain activity in real time and better understand its architecture. We have learned a lot about the role of emotions in our daily lives. They play a key role in helping us make good decisions. The idea of decision-making that was often thought of as rational (“to make decisions, you have to put emotions aside”) has been swept away by neuroscience. It has been noted that from a neuro-anatomical point of view, the emotional system and the reasoning system are closely linked. This discovery opened a lot of doors for us.
Our Scientific Director, Nawal Abboub, was interviewed by the media L'Atlantico in order to decipher the role of our emotions but also to understand the levers we can activate to better regulate them at work or at home.
